One of my More Boring Weeks...ha!

So Shitty Jobs was hysterical! Donald Glover (Community) and Ben Schwartz (30 Rock) were both in it and I honestly can't say I have laughed that hard for that long in a really long time, maybe ever! Who knows.

Monday ICLA went on The Price is Right for their college spring break addition. It was kind of annoying because we had to be there at noon and the taping didn't start until like 4:30, but it was worth it because my friend Kelsey, who was sitting RIGHT NEXT TO ME, got on! She then won her bid (for a PSP and a bunch of games) and got on stage to play that squeeze a number out game, but she was off by one number...booo. Atleast she won something though! And we will all most definitely be on TV! eeek!

Tuesday was another typical day at Intuition, but at Government and Media that night I proposed my topic for my research paper to our professor - The Development of the Right of Publicity in the US and How it Varies from that in Other Countries...pretty serious stuff. James said I only picked that topic so that I could write about Elvis for a little, he would not be wrong...

Wednesday I went into the office for The Doctors because we were dark this week. It literally felt like a work day straight out of The Wizard of Oz because I went in at 10, went to lunch at 1, came back at 2, and was done by 3. Simplest day, ever. However the  4 hours I did work were nonstop, which probably contributes to the fact that I got done so early.

Thursday I went grocery shopping and had my midterm meeting with my academic advisor because sadly, we are half way through our time out here already. :( Thursday afternoon we tried to go to a Craig Feurgeson taping, but we got there too late and they overbooked the green room, so there was no room for us. The audience guy felt really bad though and said any time we wanted to go back we just had to call him to let him know we were coming and he would bring us straight to the front of the line, so atleast that was nice of him.

Yesterday I went in to work at Intuition because I took off Monday to go on Price. I got to leave early because the other intern had to go to work at 2 and Patrick wasn't feeling well, also Keri is currently in NYC so not much was going on at the office anyway. I used my free time to make a nice pot of chili for dinner...haha.

This morning we took Mia to the airport because unlike anyone else, she is actually going somewhere for Spring Break. The rest of the day I just kinda hung out. Ginny is getting paid to create a website for one of the local restaurants here, so she mostly worked on that and I finished the one and only amazing season of Firefly. I'm sad it's over, it was really a great show! However, I still am gonna watch the movie that they made for the obsessed fans that were mad the series was cancelled, so atleast I have that to look forward to.

Tonight we are going to see The Adjustment Bureau at the City Walk theater with these movie passes that we got 2/$9, so that's exciting!

I am also super pumped because our friend Kelsy is here this week! However, she is on family vacation so she can only spend like one night with us, but it is still exciting that we get to see her for a little! Ginny and I were discussing the other day how much we miss Ithaca and the people we got accustomed to seeing every day...

AND, we are officially on Spring Break now! So all that really means for me is no class this week...big difference...However, I am going to try to use my new free time to start my paper for Government and Media and work on my Modern Family script. In fact, if I don't use the free time to do those things I'll be in trouble, so hopefully I get a lot of work done this week!

Disneyland on Wednesday, the happiest place on earth! Whooooooo.

Only in Los Angeles...

So later in the day on Tuesday, Patrick asked the other intern and I if we wanted to go to a movie at the Arc Light on our lunch break so I was really excited because I heard a lot of cool things about the theater. However, we couldn't decide on a movie that none of us had already seen that fit into our time frame, so we didn't end up going :(

Wednesday was a pretty average day. The highlight of the day being, a girl I intern with on The Doctors has a sister that is a hair stylist so she cut my hair for cheap, and it looks really good! One of the best haircuts I have gotten since the lady we went to my entire childhood moved to North Carolina when I was in high school.

Thursday on The Doctors was an incredibly easy day. All three shows were light on guests, so we go out relatively early. 

That night at class we read the first scenes of all of our scripts out loud. At first I was really nervous that mine sucked because I waited until the last minute to write it, but it went over fairly well. My faith in my writing was restored a little.

I was dreading Friday because we knew it was going to be extremely long with 4 shows packed full of guests. However, things went pretty smoothly! The little boy (who’s name is Max Page) dressed as Darth Vader and trying to use the force on everything from the car commercial that first aired during the Superbowl was on the ‘A’ show. However, the star of the day was Alicia Silverstone, who I got to pick up in the parking lot and drive to the stage. Little did I know, she is very pregnant, so I tried to drive as slow and carefully as possible….She was really nice though! She was on the show promoting the Kind Diet, which she is the face of. 

Whenever we have celebs on the show, we order a flower arrangement to put in their dressing room for them to take home. However, Alicia left hers behind so when they do that someone in the talent or wardrobe department will take the arrangement home if we don't need it for someone else the next day. My boss asked me if I wanted to take hers, so we now have this beautiful flower arrangement sitting on our kitchen table. Thanks Alicia!

Yesterday, the ICLA program went to a Kings game. Even though our seats were at the very top in the last row, it was still a lot of fun. They ended up loosing to Vancouver, who we heard is the best team in the league, but it was close until the 3^rd period and therefore still a good game to watch. The ICLA program was the group of the evening so a bunch of people got to go down and sit on the visitor’s bench during the break between the 2^nd and 3^rd period. They showed them on the screen, which was cool, but even cooler was the fact that a few members from the Glee cast (including Heather Morris, Cory Montieth, and Matthew Morrison) were sitting in the box seating right next to them! I didn’t care too much about being on the screen for all of 4 seconds, but I was pretty jealous I didn’t get to see some Gleeks up close!

That night four of us went to the 8 o’clock showing of Avenue Q  that was at the Pantages theater for the national tour like Spring Awakening was. We all put our names in the lottery as usual, and my friend James actually won so he and I got seats in the front row! I heard a lot of good things about the show, so I had some pretty high expectations. Let me tell you, Avenue Q did not disappoint! It was hysterical and all the people in it were extremely talented, I couldn’t believe their ability to not only act, but have to show emotion through up to two puppets at a time! AMAZING!

We had to laugh because as we were standing in line for rush tickets we saw, Josh Sussman (from Glee) buying tickets in front of us. The joke of the evening was a hockey game & a musical with a side of Glee! Love seeing the cast members out in the 'wild'...haha

Today our other weekend program was a bonfire at Docweiler Beach, one of only two beaches in SoCal that has pits for bonfires. It was really fun, but we only stayed for a couple hours because it was pretty windy/cold and the beach is right next to LAX so loud planes kept flying over our heads every couple minutes. Other than that, it was another beautiful beach experience that you can only get in California!

Tonight I am going to a comedy show with some people at this comedy club called the United Citizens Brigade (or UCB). The show is called ‘Shitty Jobs’ and from what I have heard, it is extremely funny. They ask people in the audience what the shittiest job they have ever had is and do an improv set based off their answer so I am looking forward to that!

Also, a group of us are going to The Price is Right tomorrow so I am super excited! Hopefully someone from our group gets on, we are making t-shirts so we stand out a little more, haha!

Oscars Weekend

Figured I would update this now since I got to Intuition early for a change :)

SO! Turns out the sponsor of the lounge changes everytime. It was Extra's lounge this time instead of HBO's. Saturday was fairly epic, however it was so extremely cold that it hailed in Beverly Hills and snowed in Burbank (the first time in over 75 years!) so I think between the awful weather and the fact that there is a ton more going on during Oscars weekend versus Golden Globes weekend kept people from coming to the Luxury Lounge. I was honestly a little disappointed that more A list celebs didn't come, but beggars can't be choosers when you are getting paid for the day!
I escorted Michael Arndt (the writer of Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine), Daniel Sunjata (from Greys Anatomy and Rescue Me), and Matt Weiner and his wife (the creator/producer of Mad Men). All three were great guys. Daniel registered for a TiVo account (because they had a booth this time) and the lady gave me the paper they needed filled out, which includes full name, address, telephone number, and email address. I filled in his full name but it's not like I knew any of that other information so it was kind of funny. He was just like "I'll take it from here. I would be scared if you did know all that." So that was pretty entertaining.

The lounge had a lot of the same vendors as last time but there were a few different ones. Trident was there this time giving out a year supply of Trident, which I thought was pretty awesome. Also Heineken was there, TiVo as I mentioned earlier and this new video game called YooStar. It is basically like movie karaoke, you put yourself in a movie as one of the characters and have to deliver that characters lines. It seemed really cool! You can then download the videos to facebook and other sites so your friends can you see in a movie. The wonders of technology...

Also saw at the lounge: Leslie David Baker (The Office), Eric Johnson (one of the writers of The Fighter), Heather McDonald (Chelsea Lately), Isabel Gilles (Law and Order SVU), Lake Bell (No Strings Attached), and Anna Pacquin (True Blood).
However the people I was most excited about seeing (which is ironic because they aren't really celebrities...) was the actual people The Fighter was based off of! First Mikey and Charlene came in, but they tried to keep a low profile by getting in and out pretty quickly. However when Dicky and Alice (the mom) came in I didn't even have to ask anyone who they were because Christian Bale and Melissa Leo did such an amazing job portraying them! Dicky was really friendly, talking and taking pictures with everyone. He kept answering his phone and saying that he was at "the lounge of luxury." At one point he went up to one of the escorts named Caroline and stroked her cheek and started singing "Sweet Caroline" to her. I couldn't take my eyes off of them! I was telling Matt Weiner that I was star struck over them and he said something like, "it's funny the people who make you star struck, you would never guess it."

Sunday morning I returned with Ginny to the Four Seasons because she was planted at the brunch at the hotel there for her internship to see what celebs were eating there. We were getting really disappointed that we weren't seeing anyone until we saw the man of the day, Colin Firth! Some walked right up to him and said "Good luck tonight Colin!" So we thought that was pretty cool, especially after he won the Oscar later. We also had fun pretending like we fit amongst the people that could actually afford the $68 brunch (her internship reimburses her for everything).

After that Ginny, Kelsey, and I decided to go stalk the red carpet for the pre-Oscars coverage to see if we could see any celebs. It was hard to find a spot at first because so many of the streets were closed down, but we eventually found this area right by the red carpet blocked by this giant fence. There were TONS of people there though. I literally was getting squished on all sides and got stepped on everytime a limo would pull up and the door was opened. It was really uncomfortable so we didn't stay long, however we did get a chance to see Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, and Amy Adams! So that was pretty awesome.

Almost won this competition we were having through the ICLA program about who guessed the most correct winners of the Oscars, but I lost because I picked The Social Network for best picture instead of The King's Speech. boooo. The prize was two free movie tickets! haha

Last night we had our first Media Industries class (a mini-course we are all required to take that meets three times during the semester). There was a panel of IC alums there that came to talk about what they are doing now and how they got there from their time at IC. It was really interesting and it really made me think about my future because I was so adamant about what I wanted to do, not realizing that the path to getting there doesn't need to be as straightforward as I was imagining it to be. One of the panelists said, "sometimes you'll be taking jobs just to be employed and it is those jobs that you'll not only make contacts at, but that might lead you to something you couldn't imagine yourself doing but you find that you actually enjoy." That gave me a lot of peace of mind and honestly it made me look forward to the future because I don't know where I'll end but I am excited to see where that is and how I'll get there.

Guess I should go read a script now that one of my bosses are here!

Figured I would update today because tomorrow will most likely deserve it's own post if the Luxury Lounge goes anything like it did last time!

Monday was, as we all know it to be, Presidents' Day. I however, decided to not email my boss at Intuition to see if I had to work until 2 hours before I had to be in. As the minutes ticked by and I continued to receive no answer, I remembered we had off for MLK Day. I then checked Keri's calendar and she had nothing scheduled all day, but I didn't want to go anywhere until I was absolutely certain I didn't have to go in, so I just kind of hung around and watched Firefly and did laundry until I finally heard back from him at noon confirming that yes, the office was closed for the day. So that was an interesting morning off. Once my laundry was done I decided to take an impromptu trip by myself to Venice Beach, because it was a nice day and I hadn't been there yet. It turned out to be much more exciting than I thought, since there wasn't really a boardwalk. There was however a skatepark there where people were doing tricks on their skateboards and bikes and there were just people everywhere, though no one was in the cold ocean water. I just sat in the sand and read for awhile. It was a really nice, relaxing afternoon!

Tuesday was an average day at Intuition, nothing too memorable happened. Hopefully a day will come along soon when I do something out of the ordinary exciting!

Wednesday The Doctors was shooting because Dr. Phil had a dark week, however there was only one show with one guest on it so Josie told me and the other intern we didn't need to come in. I was happy to have another surprise day off, until I found out that one guest was Jon Lovitz! So that was a little disappointing, but I guess you can't see everyone. Instead Ginny and I took her boyfriend to an interview and afterwards we wandered around downtown Burbank a little more. What a cute place! Definitely somewhere I will be taking my mom and my brother when they come to visit over Easter weekend.

Thursday was an interesting day because both Nancy Grace (who had the biggest entourage I have seen to date) and Joan & Melissa Rivers were on the show! Three very intense women who love what they do, Nancy loves being a lawyer, Melissa loves being a TV star, and Joan loves getting botox. Joan really is exactly the way she is on TV as she is in person. We don't normally have anyone under the age of 18 in the audience because the content of the show can sometimes be too much for minors, however this particular episode we had these high school guests in the audience (for whatever reason) and Joan was getting pretty heated about the conversation and she said, "I hope you have a bleeper" before she proceeded to drop the f-bomb 3 times. What a lady. I must say though, she doesn't look nearly as terrifying in person as she does on TV. Her and Melissa are hysterical together, I would love to be a fly on the wall in that house, especially when what they talk about on national television is more racy than what the average mother and daughter talk about behind closed doors. What an adventure that day was!

That night in Writing for Series TV, we pitched our idea for the spec script we are writing. I finished my beat sheet that was due (I am writing an episode of Modern Family) on Wednesday, but didn't have time to prepare my pitch. I ended up throwing together a slide show a half hour before class and didn't get a chance to run through my pitch once. I thought it was one of the worst presentations I have ever given (I usually like to be ridiculously prepared so I can be more personable with the presentation itself), but I guess I did an ok job because everyone in the class rated everyone on a scale of 1-5 and the top three highest people won a prize. Turns out I came in 2nd or 3rd place! (I didn't quite catch which because the TA named me and the other winner at the same time) So that was really unexpected and exciting.

No celebs today on The Doctors. However, it was an INSANELY easy day, so easy in fact that we only had one guest in the 'C' show, and they were done after segment 1, so we were done at 2:45! I only clocked 8 hours today, almost felt like I had a normal job, haha. After work I went out with some co-workers to get drinks, which was a lot of fun. It is pretty cool to get to know people outside the work place.
Tonight a few friends that also work on the Paramount lot and I went to see Blue Valentine and since we went to the Paramount theater, it was free! I wasn't the biggest fan of the movie itself, but Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling both did an amazing job. I am just not a big fan of movies that A) end in the same place they started and B) are extremely depressing...

Working at the HBO Luxury Lounge tomorrow! Hopefully it will go as smoothly and successfully as it did for the Golden Globes! AHHHH!

The Lull Before the Storm

Sooo Sunday we got Rush Tickets for Spring Awakening! They were pretty good seats, row Q closer to the middle. What a great musical! I was thinking it was going to be so scandalous because of what everyone said about it, but I didn't find it to be that controversial. I thought it was really cool all the adults were played by the same male and female performer. And the younger characters did an amazing job. I am thinking about downloading the music on iTunes now..haha
Two of the girls in our group got lotto tickets and got to sit on the stage, which was really cool. They went a couple other times to see it, whereas the rest of us only went that one time, so it was fitting that they got seats on the stage. I've never been to a musical where they had seats literally on the stage before. They had to follow all these rules though, like no getting up or dancing or talking to the performers. I bet it was still a cool experience though!

Monday and Tuesday were pretty normal at Intuition. Nothing too memorable from what I remember. However my boss did bring in her dog on Tuesday. I have no idea what kind of dog it was because I don't know things like that, but I definitely think it was part collie. It was huge though! Bigger than I thought a collie would be so maybe it was a mutt.

Wednesday I made Meatloaf for the first time with this recipe my mom gave me. It came out really good! I was impressed on how much it tasted like good meatloaf and not just like a jumble of all the stuff I put in it, which was what I was expecting it to taste like anyway. Thought it was worth mentioning here..hahaha

Thursday on "The Doctors" was a really easy day. Bonnie Bernstein (the NFL announcer) was on the 'B' show, and then during the 'C' show we only had two guests so I got out before the audience AND before 4 o'clock! Probably the first and only time that will happen. With all my free time I went to the Paramount store to buy my mom her birthday present and I bought a new lanyard for my ID. Exciting stuff.

Friday was a 4 show day, but somehow we were only there for 11 hours. Tabatha Coffey from Bravo's Tabatha's Salon Takeover was on the 'A' show, which was busy. However, the 'B' show was INSANE! 16 guests (the majority being from the 17 Day Diet weight loss program, who were there on my first day) were there and we had a trailer again, so it was pretty chaotic. Luckily we had no one for the 'C' show and only two guests for the 'D' show so once we got over the morning craziness, the rest of the day was a breeze.
Friday night a bunch of us played an intense game of charades in my friends apartment, so that was a fun way to stay in and save money...haha

Saturday I got skyped into my cousin's birthday party, and got jealous because they were all eating these delicious looking cupcakes, so my roommates and I decided to brave the rain and go to Beverly Hills to go to the famous cupcake shop, Sprinkles. We had fun exploring the block of Beverly Hills that Sprinkles was on, but it was too cold and rainy to walk anywhere else so we are gonna go back on a nicer day.
That night we went to the movies to see "I Am Number 4" because we wanted to see how the girl from Glee, Dianna Agron acted in a motion picture. She was pretty good! However, I was more excited to see another movie featuring a beagle as one of the main components of the story! First movie I can think of with a beagle since Shiloh! :) The theater was in downtown Burbank, which seemed like a really cool place, however it was still raining really hard so we didn't get to explore it very much. We'll go back soon!

Today we went to the LA Zoo. It was cool because a lot of the animals were near the front or middle of their habitat because it wasn't so hot that they needed to stay in the back near the shade. I was sad there were no polar bears, but we saw a lot of other cool animals including kolas, giraffes, elephants, monkeys, birds, seals, sea lions, otters, lions, etc. It was a fun way to spend a cooler Sunday!

I officially got the email that I will be working at the HBO Luxury Lounge for the Oscars like I did for the Golden Globes! I could not be more excited! Every time I think about the people I might see there I get beyond excited and incredibly nervous. I can keep it together pretty well around celebrities, but I just might cry and/or faint if I see the love of my life, Andrew Garfield! eeeeek! CAN'T WAIT!

One Step at a Time

What an insane week it has been!

Saturday a bunch of us (17 to be exact) went out to this really nice Italian restaurant Ginny had a coupon with for my birthday dinner. It was really great and I am pretty sure everyone had a lovely time. :) Then at midnight, the group of us that are 21 went to Dimples, a karaoke bar within walking distance of Oakwood. That night was a blast! Dimples was really great about the fact that it was my birthday and gave our group a lot of free stuff, including a DVD with the entire nights performances on it. It was a riot going back and not just watching the people in our group, but some random acts as well.

Sunday was my actual birthday as well as the Superbowl, so we played it pretty low key...watched the game and the dreadful half time show (that girl cannot sing live for the life of her....) and Ginny made a cake that we had afterwords. She also went around and collected all my presents and cards and displayed them on the table with my Elvis wine glasses that my brother gave me a while ago but I had been saving them for my birthday. It was so cute! Ginny is an amazing person and I could not ask for a better friend to be spending the semester out here with!

Monday and Tuesday were regular days at Intuition. I prepared a pitch for my boss about the place we went to a couple weeks ago for her to show some people about possibly picking the idea as a show. She said I did a really good job on it so I was happy with that. I also read my first script that wasn't very good (guess there is a first time for everything!) and I learned how to word a letter to the writer, politely telling them their script lacked a plot. That was an experience!

Wednesday I went to the production office for The Doctors for the first time to catch up on some paperwork on the talent that needed to be entered into the system. It was nice to learn new things and get a change of environment for a day, not to mention only having to get there at 10 instead of 6:30. I probably would have gotten all the work finished, but I had to leave early because 11 of us got tickets from Jon to go to the 2nd Annual 3D Creative Arts Awards Ceremony at the Chinese Theater!

Now it sounds really exciting, which I guess it was, however we were sitting outside of a Starbucks waiting to first get our tickets and then wait for them to take us to the theater for over 2 hours. That definitely killed the enthusiasm a little. Once we finally got to our seats (in the second row) it got a lot better. I guess I wasn't all that into it because I don't really know too many people in the field of 3D development other than James Cameron (who wasn't there! he received an award and had his assistant accept it on his behalf...dumb). However, it was being televised for the first time, which is really cool and we got to see clips of everything that won an award which was pretty neat. I now want to see How to Train Your Dragon because of it. It won quite a few awards and looked like a really good movie! There weren't too many famous people there, however, Tom Cavanagh (who plays JD's brother on Scrubs) hosted the show and they honored Lenny Lipton (who wrote Puff the Magic Dragon), also Brian May (from Queen!) accepted an award but I can't remember which one. One other cool thing they did was edit one of Harold Lloyd's movies by adding color to it and making it 3D in honor of him for an award his granddaughter presented, so that was pretty awesome. Overall it was an interesting experience and I think it is an event that will gain enthusiasm over time. Also it will be pretty cool to say I went to an awards show in the Grauman Chinese Theater because I don't think to many average Joes can say that!

That night I went to a cabernet at the M bar with a few friends to see the cast of Spring Awakening perform an assortment of cover songs. That was pretty awesome! I sometimes find it hard to believe such amazing voices can come out of people so young. Also, it made me want to go see Spring Awakening while they are here on tour so a few of us are going to try to get lottery tickets at the earlier show tomorrow. Let you know how that pans out!

The Doctors had a dark week this week so I thought I could spend thursday and friday doing nothing, that was only half true. Thursday I had to catch up on all my homework I had been putting off for class at 7. We are about to start writing our spec script (I am writing one for Modern Family) and we had to present our ideas that day in class. At first I was really nervous that my idea was stupid, but it was actually met with a far amount of enthusiasm and I feel alot better about it now. :) More on the script later.

Friday I bummed around for the morning and started to make calls to my family members to thank them for my birthday cards. I am not done, with three more people to call, but hopefully I can get them all done tomorrow. It is a little hard to call people with the time difference because I dont want to call when people are eating dinner or when they might be in bed already....but enough about that!

Today we went to the Getty Museum, which is definitely the most beautiful museum I have ever been to in my life. Not only is the artwork there incredible, but the landscaping is beautiful! Dad, you would have loved it there. They have one of the prettiest flower gardens ever that looks right out over a view of southern California. We could literally see from the Pacific Ocean to well beyond downtown LA. It was amazing. The picture here isn't a recent one because the display has changed a lot since the picture was taken, but atleast it gives you an idea of the property.

Two noteworthy items: It has been confirmed that James and Oliver Phelps (aka Fred and George Weasley) currently reside in my community. My friend played H.O.R.S.E. with them the other day and got a picture with them. That is the second time they have been spotted at the basketball courts, so I now intend to creep around the courts until I see them.

Also I got an email today about working the Luxury Lounge for the Oscars like I did for the Golden Globes. She told us to send our availability, since it is a 4 day long event, but I don't want to blow off The Doctors, so I told her I can only do Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully that works out because we worked Saturday last time, but we will see how it goes. That would be incredible, you don't get much more famous people than the guests at the Oscars!

Here's a story....

...of a lovely lady! Yeah, you better believe I met Mrs. Brady! But, first I gotta recap the beginning of the week before I forget.

So Monday & Tuesday at Intuition was a lot of fun. On Monday during our lunch break Keri took me and the other intern to Space 15 Twenty, this cute outside stage area surrounded by these urban/bohemian shops (including Urban Outfitters) and this place called Umani Burger. Keri offered to buy us lunch there, I brought lunch so I declined but I should have took her up on it cause I heard it's amazing. Next time!

Tuesday I was there by myself for like two hours and it was very intimidating. I had to confirm Keri's lunch for the day, something I hadn't done prior to that, but don't worry, I handled it. That afternoon I read a script that was absolutely terrible, something I hadn't done yet, so I wasn't entirely sure how to say that the script sucked in my notes without just saying the script sucked.

Wednesday I had my first workstudy shift. I'm definitely going to be rollin in the dough working 1.5 hours a week, but hey, something is better than nothing! It's really easy. I just have to sit at the desk at the Pendelton Center and answer the phone and do whatever Steve needs for his class at 7. The phone didn't ring once so I all I had to do is make copies for Steve. Easy stuff :)

And now, onto Thursday & Friday at The Doctors!
Thursday was our big VIP day. We had Dr. Huizenga (who I met) and Allison Sweeney (who I didn't get the chance to meet because she was on a conference call the majority of the time she was in her dressing room) from The Biggest Loser, Chandra Wilson from Grey's Anatomy (she was the sweetest person ever!) and Florence Henderson (who was also on this past season, the only one I've watched, of Dancing with the Stars). Florence and Allison were on the same few segments talking about healthy habits and the facts that prove kids that spend more time on Facebook are more likely to be anorexic. It was a pretty interesting couple of shows.

Thursday night I went to "The Writers Guild Foundation," a panel featuring the writers who wrote screenplays for movies that are up for an Oscar for 'Best Picture' including: Stuart Blumberg & Lisa Cholodenko (The Kids Are All Right), Mark Heyman (Black Swan), Nicole Holofcener (Please Give), Eric Johnson, Scott Silver, & Paul Tamasy (The Fighter), Aaron Stockard (The Town), John Requa & Glenn Ficarra (I Love You Phillip Morris), and Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network).
Awesome things I learned: The only draft of The Social Network that Aaron Sorkin wrote was the one they shot (AMAZINGGG), The Fighter was shot in only 33 days, Mark Heyman sat in on 3 months of ballet lessons before he wrote anything for Black Swan, from the time they started writing to the time I Love You Phillip Morris got picked up 8 years had passed, The Social Network would often take upwards of 50 shots of a scene (which is completely insane).

And today, an amazing, but incredibly long work day. The 'A' & 'B' show went by pretty normally (one VIP judge in the 'A' show named Dr. Jennifer Ashton, hadn't heard of her before the show), however they decided to switch the 'C' and the 'D' show (we filmed an extra show today because we have a dark week [we aren't shooting for the week] next Thursday & Friday). This threw us all into a tizzy because everyone from the 'C' show was ready to go, but no one was there for the 'D' show up to half an hour before we were supposed to start. Finally we got a call that the guest, Nancy O'Dell (from Entertainment Tonight) was here so I went to get her from the parking lot in the golf cart. She was incredibly nice, making sure she introduced herself to me, and insanely beautiful. What I didn't realize was that the whole Entertainment Tonight crew was there and that they were filming us as we pulled up to the stage in the cart (look out for me on ET!). Then as Nancy was leaving (the camera followed her) she turned around to say bye & thanks to me and then said "Say hi to Entertainment Tonight!" The camera then whipped around to me and I waved awkwardly, smooooothhh. hahaha

The only other person in the new 'C' show was Borba representative, Scott-Vincent Borba, who gave the Executive Producer's assistant a "diamonds & rubies facial" valued at $7000, no joke. Mila Kunis recently got one, bringing them into the public's eye. Since I picked up Scott-Vincent and his assistants and helped him unload, then reload his stuff, he decided to give me (don't ask me why, just doin my job) a gift bag full of Borba products. Who's knows how much the bag is valued at but I am forever grateful and supportive of Borba products from this day forward :)

Then for the new 'D' show Dr. Ian Smith (from Celebrity Fit Club) guest judged. He was insanely nice & very patient with the fact that he was there the majority of the day, as were the rest of the 'D' show guests. One of the guests had two kids, I think a 6 year old and a 9 year old and they were the best behaved kids we have had since I've been there by miles, let alone the fact that they were there HOURS longer than most guest's children.

AHH! great day! Birthday weekend has officially begun :) another post wednesday since we aren't filming next week!
